These are our geraniums that I pulled out of the ground last fall.
Well, GUESS WHAT! they are blooming fools out there. I so got a kick out of them when I went to water today ... ok, we can't have spring outside, so we can now enjoy it inside.
There are some really pretty blooms out there.
Harold jimmy-rigged the plastic cover & lights in the garage last fall for me, unsure we were whether they would survive or it would work.
Further down you can view what is growing in the kitchen sink ... when I saw that beauty, pink as she is, I had to bring her home.
Asparagus fern is doing really well, too.
This is the coverlet Harold made.
Queen Elizabeth rose ... she is fragrant & beautiful.

Marydon,
ReplyDeleteWhat are the flowers called that are the 5th from the bottom. I am a huge rose lover myself and can't wait to order two new roses this spring from Jackson and Perkins.
For some reason their roses just bloom and outgrow all the others we've bought. Now they are the only brand in our garden.
Love and Hugs ~ Kat

Marydon, You know I did read those early Feb. posts but I did not know you were born with a heart problem and did not know the details of your ordeal. Thanking God that all turned out well for you as you are a blessing to all of us. Love, Kerrie

Wow Marydon! I love pink geraniums. Buy them every year. I can't keep them growing during the winter at all though. It is a miracle they grow in the spring and summer for me , but they do!! Lol
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a good day today!
Hugs~
Such lovely reminders that winter is but a season and as night follows day, spring will follow winter.
ReplyDeleteI haven't forgotten about telling what little I know about blogging; I'm working on a blog entry because there have been a few who asked me to share what I know.
BTW, where do I find the information for the get-together? I've searched but in all the wrong places. -smile-
Hi Marydon, just tried e-mailing you at the address you provided but yahoo says you don't have an account with them...? Computers - love/hate relationship, know what I mean!?
ReplyDeleteI checked with your address on your blog and it's the same address so don't know what's going on ???
Good to see your in the pink! Oh sweetie your gonna love that Queen Elizabeth rose, it's a real beauty. I have 38 rose bushes in my acre yard and flower gardens. I've got it bad baby!
ReplyDeleteHave a beautifully blessed day, sweetie!!!
Oh you are so ahead of me..I love scented geraniums and roses too..
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing...it reminds me Spring is not far away
oh! thanks for sharing marydon! i needed that! they are beautiful! what a pick me up!
ReplyDeleteHey Sweetie. I'm getting so excited about seeing everyone's new spring plantings. What a wonderful husband! I love geraniums. Unfortunately I think the cold might have gotten mine this year. Being in Florida (even North Florida) like me, I can usually leave them in the ground year round. I love how you can just snap the limbs and stick them straight in the dirt and have a new plant. They are such an easy grower for me. Can't wait to see your new rose bush in bloom.
ReplyDeleteI'm just starting to get out and visit my blog friends again and couldn't not head straight over to see you. Thank you for your love and support when I needed it so much. You're such a dear friend.
Lots of love and grins, Tracy :)
Hi: Hope you are feeling better. Love all your flowers. Spring is almost here. Blessings, Martha
ReplyDeleteMy dear Marydon, These are soooooo great! Beautiful flowers announcing the coming spring...and it can't come too soon! It's pretty amazing to see them growing this way!
ReplyDeleteMy son-in-law lost his job this past week and we are trying to be positive. I wrote on my blog today that I hope friends will visit my daughter Carrie's new blog in which she talks about how things are going for them. This has been a real jolt in our lives! But we are all determined to stay positive! And we can with good friends like you!
Have a great day!
BIG Hugs!
Coralie
Oh Lucky You! You must be Irish with your Green Thumb and surviving green and PINK geraniums! I was able to pull that off last year with the help of plastic and heat lights! Not this year tho...Mother Nature was so Nasty to my Geraniums here in Texas! Guess I'll have to start over! Makes me sad....some I'd had for three or four years! Love your Josh Groban music. It's a Feel good song!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy your blog so much I've added you to my favorite places page at my blog http://goaskkatie.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteWishing you happiness and many readers, Katherine
I brought a geranium in the house last fall that was in pretty bad shape - only one leaf and a raggedy stem. I guess it appreciated the indoor life, because it has bloomed this winter, and has added all kinds of leaves!
