We had a wonderful trip to Cleveland, OH. Instead of rushing to arrive there ...
we made a 6 hr.. drive into a 16 hr. drive meandering thru MD, WV, OH. Oh, what I have to share with you the next few days ...
May I introduce you to my sister Carolyn, her son Gregory (handsome chap he is), my bil Mike in above pics & us ...
We drove up to the Maritime museum. What a lovely seaside city & beautiful beach ...
I so love lighthouses ...
So serene & picturesque ...
Alas, Harold's dream to visit was on a day it was closed ...
tho the travel to & from was wonderful ...
Two silly sisters ...
Two silly guys ...
While in Cleveland we went to President James A Garfield's grave site (another day posting). Then a light bulb went off! Maybe my/our g-grgr-grandparents graves were in this cemetary ... sure enough
Since we are the family genealogists, this was a fun find for my sister & family to see ...
Greg (far l) is the general manager of the Cleveland Airport Marriott ... he treated us both like we royalty.
Nothing being 'executives for 3 days ... big hugs & smiles ... TYSM from the top of our heart to our toes, Greg. He is such a delightful nephew.
And, of course we had to visit the gardens & butterfly exhibits ...
This little fella chirped his feathers off for us ...
This class of children were enthralled with these turtles ... more to follow soon on quilting exhibits, art museum, etc.
Wow, it all looks so pretty and green! You know it's mostly brown out here, so I do love some green.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well with you and Harold, have a lovely week.

Meri
