MERRY 'CHRIST'MAS ... the whole year through ...
Thank you each for your wonderful friendships, so deep & true. I am forever
grateful & blessed to know you.
PS ~ There are only 365 days until Christmas ...
Thank you Beverly for hosting Pink Saturday @

Hugs of love, squeals of joy, precious moments of togetherness, treasured memories of sheer delight. Held forever close to our hearts.
Through our gr-kid-lings we are blessed twice, to be blessed with new memories.
Joshua was about 14 & made it clear that he did NOT want a certain electronics item, so we purposely acquired the box of the unwarranted item to wrap his gift in. When he unwrapped the parcel & saw the box, he just slumped, quietly ... then after
a bit looked up & said 'I told you I didn't want _______'. We encouraged him it would 'be alright' & to open his gift. He turned back hesitating, then opened the box ... good Heavens! he went ballistic, his desired gift was inside. Then he turned & said 'you got me'. Yup! we sure did.
Love our boy!
I am the 'queen' of peanut butter ... where it is, I am going to find it! I used to sneak around the house at Christmas & search for Mother's delicious homemade peanut butter fudge that she made for gifts ... ohhhhhh! that creamy delightful aroma would just DRAW/BECKON me to snitch a nibble here & there.
This adorable Peanut Butter doll was given to me for a Christmas gift by none other than Sherry-sis (countrywingsinphoenix) ... isn't she precious! I chuckle everyt ime I walk by her ...
How sweet was that? He was cute to admit that you all got him:) Have a blessed Christmas EVE dear Marydon! HUGS from Georgia!

Loved reading your fun family memories! The box switcheroo reminded me of some special Christmases where we all had such fun wrapping gifts in different boxes. It was the running joke that the box might or might not mean a thing! :) Thank you for such a fun reminder of those special times. Merry PINK Christmas! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Peanut Butter Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteOh I am so thrilled that you have her where you can see her and that she makes you smile. Imagine that a little doll named after you, yes she was, I am sure of it.
Now where is the Cherry Jelly doll? I haven't found one of those yet.
Oh sweetie I hope you guys have a wonderful time at Emery's. I am sure the weather there feels a little more like Christmas than here. We have warm sunshine and 70's weather today. Another day like this for tomorrow. No snow here in the desert.
I wish we could be together for the holiday, but one year. I can hope right?
Merry CHRISTmas my precious Sister. I so love you. Many hugs and SO much love, Your Lil Sis, Cherry Jelly, Sherry

ReplyDeleteI have to challenge you as being the peanut butter queen...I have my own jar in the pantry, marked "Jil" and I eat it by the spoonfuls...I am nutty about the stuff! lol! I have made a promise to myself, I will slow down on it, as it is sticking to my hips something dreadfully.....
Merry Christmas!
Jil
