Amidst our feedsack purchases were these (2) pieces of fabric sewn into a pillowcase shape. Since all our guest bedrooms are done in blue, I thought they might work with the decors. Well they only really work in the bedroom that was Joshua's nursery, which is fine.
I bought the sewing machine for $10.00 at our neighbor's yard sale this summer ... & everything on it works. Tatiana wanted to create a blanket & I thought this machine would be fun for her to use. She has done really well using it thus far. What a coup for that price. I may even give it a whirl & 'try to...' become creative.
Now you know well the story of Mother screaming at me to 'get the ripper' on my maternity smock challenge when pg with my first child, Emery ... forever I hear her words ringing ... BUT ... I said to myself 'self, it is just a straight line & lace would look so pretty on the open ends'. So off to Joann's. I am pretty proud of myself ... the lines are definitely straight ... chuckle!
They look pretty snappy I do believe.
GIVEAWAY ends 9/9. It is a beautiful packed gift giving giveaway.

ReplyDeleteGood job - perfectly lovely and you only had to talk to yourself a little bit before you got yourself in line. Nice trick.

ReplyDeleteAnd I love your flower photos you've shared. I just finished pulling out all my rose bushes...they just faltered this summer with two years of extreme heat and lack of a good rain. All the watering I did did not help.
