After greeting Sherry at the BWI airport we took all back country roads home to show her the beautiful countryside.
(Sherry is still pretty sick. We will be posting Victorian homes when she feels up to it, so stay in touch with both of our writes ~ http://countrywingsinphoenix.blogspot.com/)
As we passed down this one road, I saw a YELLOW barn. I inhaled from the beauty ... saying, 'Harold I don't have a yellow barn yet'.
He continued on down the road a bit & I once again said, 'I don't have a yellow barn yet, Harold.' He continues on.
Firmly I stated, 'I don't have a yellow barn yet, Harold'. He replies, 'do you want me to turn around?'
'Well, I do think so.....'
WOW a yellow barn! How cool is that! Please stop by my quilting blog and vote for my friend. Have a great weekend!

We used to have a yellow barn down the road from us. It was a sunshine yellow and it just glowed on sunny days! Unfortunately the last people that bought it sided over the yellow with white siding. :0/
ReplyDeleteYellow barn is neat.
ReplyDeleteMen are funny that way...at least mine is too! I tell hime if you see a garage sale STOP...well he drives on by most of the time and then he has to turn around! LOL Love them to death though.
ReplyDeleteThat yellow barn is amazing. I am glad Harold turned around!!
Hugs~

Good Morning Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteOh I am so laughing as I do remember this particular day. You two are so precious together. I love it.
That barn was even more gorgeous in person. Pictures just never do the product justice, as it truly is so beautiful in person. I was totally amazed and still am at the gorgeous countryside. So breathtaking.
I will never be able to thank you sweetie for the BEST vacation a girl could ever ask for. You made me feel like a real PRINCESS. I thank you so much. God was so good to us when he brought us together. We had been waiting all our lives for this special SISTER relationship and he carried through his promise. I will love you forever and to eternity sweetie. FOREVER...
All my love, Your Lil Sis, Sherry

You are so funny. I am so thrilled that your Harold is so sweet to you.
ReplyDeleteHe loves you enough to give you "a yellow barn" even if it is in pictures.

How sweet that your husband caught your hint and that he turned around so you could "capture" a yellow barn.
ReplyDeleteLOL! I like that approach, Marydon. I think I'll try it out on my husband . . .
ReplyDeleteMarydon,
ReplyDeleteWhat nice photos of the yellow barn. The yellow barn is lovely and it was real good of Harold to let you photograph it. Have a great weekend. Maybe he will build you a yellow barn.
Well lookey who finally decided to start up her own blog! ;) Love these pics...I've never seen a yellow barn before!! I want one now...Maybe I could convince Josh to build me one! I told him last night that whenever we are able to buy a house with land, I want lots of horses! LOL! Love ya!
ReplyDeleteHah, he didn't understand what you meant until you clarified, "yes, stop so I can take pictures. "
ReplyDeleteAnd now I have a yellow barn thanks to you sweetie!!! I just love that you finally got Harold to turn around to take a photo of this beauty. I've told you before, how much I love old barns...just love them...but after seeing this beauty, I really really love yellow barns!!!
ReplyDeleteI so hope that Sherry gets better soon. I am so happy to read all about the fun you had and the rocker in your garden is darling.
One just doesn't run across a yellow barn every day! It's great!!!
ReplyDeleteI had my grandkiddos last week for Camp Grandma. Grandma was pooped by Sat. evening! I've spent the week helpin' Hubby work the cattle (vaccinating, castrating and dehorning) The weedin' and mulchin' my flower beds. I've wheelbarrowed out about half of the mountain. There has just been no time for bloggin'. I want to....but the Ponderosa is a busy place.
God bless ya and have a fabulous Friday!!!
