Life
**Our miracle **
One of the greatest miracles in our lives is when we lost our 3 yr old son, our marriage was torn apart. Yes, you do stomp, scream, cry & beg 'why', truly you do from the depths of your soul. Through the struggles we were one of the few lucky couples that were able to restore our love, marriage & foundation of life. Without God, none of this would ever have occurred.

Kelee Katillac has done many of these Miracle Makeovers to create a healing atmosphere for those very ill.
As you read this story of sweet Charlie, please lift prayers for all who are in need of God's healing hands to bring them His sweet blessings.
~ Charlie Grady aka Charlie Santa ~
http://www.designgivesback.com/2011/07/a-miracle-room-makeover-for-katie-and-a-big-announcement.html
We are sharing the story of a little boy who is probably a lot like your son, grandson or nephew; he loves cars, trucks & trains. Charlie loves riding his bicycle, also. He is different than most 8 yr. olds in two ways: he has brain tumors & he leads a toy drive to help kids in chemotherapy to have happier holidays. "Charlie Santa" was founded when he was just five & in his first round of chemotherapy. This is one of the reasons he was chosen to be an ambassador for kids with Neurofibromatosis Type 1, & a recipient of a Miracle Makeover.
The print story about Charlie's Makeover is featured in the August issue of Guideposts: America's #1 Inspirational Magazine.
Kara, Charlie's sister, suffers from NF-1 as well.
Thank you, precious Kelee, for all you do. God has already bestowed upon you angel wings. Your heart of love is so inspiring. I am so honored to call you friend.

Marydon, Thank you for being so kind and thoughtful. This is a heart tugging story and needs to be shared.
ReplyDeleteCharlie is truly an angel on earth. His work will be blessed.
I am reminded of my own Mom and Dad. They lost my older sister when she was only five. At that time, 1943, there was very little help for one in her condition.
I thank GOD daily for the wonderful men and women who work diligently to find cures for the smallest among us.
I am sure that Charlie is an inspiration to everyone with whom he meets.
Charlie, I pray for your healing and your cause. May our God richly bless you and those who assist you.

Marydon,
ReplyDeleteAfter all this time of admiring you and feeling the heat of your radiant spirit I just now learned about your lost child. Anne from New Zealand hinted at it. Then, here I find more.
I cannot thank-you enough for your honesty and authenticity in sharing your story. It is only through it that we move others and inspire. YOU do just that and I am so honored to know you.
Your warmth and kindness are the result of the fires you have been through..forging you into the gold of legends. That which must pass through a LOT to be made.
You are wonderful... I appreciate your efforts on behalf of Design Gives Back. And the particular
kindness to me you have shown.
Marydon,
ReplyDeleteI just wrote you a long heartfelt stream-of consciousness post and when I hit publish it disappeared.
I will pop back by in a few to see if it appears..if not I will try ad recompose it... as flowing from my grateful heart to you.

Adding Charlie to the prayer list. Thanks for stopping by and telling us about it. :-)
ReplyDeleteMarydon,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words and sharing your story. My heart goes out to you as we have loss many chemo buddies in our journey. Yet while the loss saddens us we also feel privalaged to have had the opportunity to spend time with these angles here on earth. I have said on Charlie's carepage before the simplest prayer to say is the hardest to do, Thy Will be done. He gives us so much strength and love and He helps to show us that love through people like you.
Your stregth and courage are an inspiration. May God continue to shine His love upon you and your family and all that you do.
Love,
The Grady Bunch
