I always do my best thinking with my pink hats! The pink stimulates ... so tell me what do you think ...
I took Joshua's bedroom that was all beautifully done in Civil War art, fabrics & artifacts ... & in a P I N K FLASH decided to do romance ... I found this beautiful piece of art that I will share later in the final presentation of a lady surrounded in hydrangeas. The canvas was breathtaking, so I bought it, framed it & began to plunder thru my creative juices (if there are any).
The entire room actually pulled together quickly except for the wall that I placed the artwork on. I was at a total loss. Tanza @ http://teagirltanza.blogspot.com/ was with us for 8 days, offered thoughts & inspired me to think outside of the box. Wellll, that lid on that box stayed closed until ...
While at a yard sale I found this wee frame above for 25 cents. YUP! It was eewwgaly!! I got out the spray paint & gave her new life. Then it sat on the counter for a new inspiration as to WHAT to do with it. Then a lightening bolt struck the other night. I started digging thru the box of doilies & found one that fit perfectly in the hole. I glue her in there. I then found a smaller one & glued it on top of the larger one. After drying it still did nothing for me. Fading pink inspiration.
Wandering thru the house, nothing 'hit me'.
Then out of the pink I looked on my work counter & saw the blue beads of Mother's necklace that were left over ... PINK FLASH!!!
I took the blue bead, a dollop of glue, poked the bead wire thru the doilies, pressed it into the glue & WAH-LAH!!!
So perfect for the wall, do you think?!
The picture below is just a wee glimpse at the redo of the bedroom. More later to come.
During this time I also had loads of trays & other silver pieces that I would never ever use, so I sent them all to Celeste @ http://larearose.blogspot.com/.
Bless her beautiful talented fingers & heart, this gorgeous tray that I adored came back to me ... painted so elegantly with BLUE hydrangeas that literally jump off the tray as tho real flowers. It is spectacular.
I love you Celeste & so appreciate the beauty that you have created for our room. It is over the moon spectacular. Thank you.
When Tanza, & her sweet mother Donna were here, Donna brought the middle bottle for us. After they left this parcel arrived with the (2) side bottles. They are so gorgeous with the sunlight hitting the prism tops. I can see them from my desk with the light coming in that window in the front entry room, all day long.
Having a little sugar always inspires me ... & my heart Dr. I always make treats for his staff when I see him.
And, butterflies bring such a warm sweet smile when I see them ... love chasing them ... still a little kid left in me.
A few of our garden 'maters for summer BELT sandwiches ... bacon, fried egg, lettuce, tomato, cheese smothered with that artery clogging mayo & fresh bread.
A wee bit of our garden ...
Little Miss M tickled pink! She is the light of our lives, just the happiest, sweetest beauty ever. Look at those chubby arms & legs just looking for loving ... & does she get loving!!! Love those precious giggles & squeals!!! (10 mns wearing Great-aunt Carolyn & Great-uncle Mike's outfit)
Saw this beautiful cabinet in an antique mall ... love the painted back but would never ever have thought to use that color. But then again, I still favor Mahogany for main living areas. The window frame hubby & I both thought was interesting. All these 'pieces' of remnants of life glued (I suppose) to the original glass. Can you imagine the beauty of the sunlight shining thru this?
~ Great works do not always lie our way, but every moment we may do little ones excellently, that is, with great love. ~
