~ Table & Chairs Memory ~ Love Is...
We gave our son & d-i-love my G'ma Maggie's dining table & chair set. It is deco inspired from the '30's or '40s. The more I thought about this I kind of remember Mother asking G'ma when she bought it, if memory is correct ... so that would latter 40's.
Oh, so many wonderful memories of home cooked meals & chit chat while seated at this dining set. Even Polly the parrot sat upon her when Uncle Mick left him with G'ma Maggie.
G'ma Maggie kept an oil cloth cover on the table at all times to protect it. Uncle Bill, who resided in the family home until he passed ... when G'ma Maggie joined Jesus, everything in the house stood still. Nothing was moved, nor changed. The calendar was still June 1954.
I asked to receive this set. We gave it to Emery & Cathelene after they bought their first home.
Now time has taken its toll. The chairs have been glued & reglued professionally many times to preserve them usable.
Recently, tho ... it proved impossible. Cathelene found this note from our Tatiana attached to the chairs.

The chairs are sadly forever gone, the table remains.
