~ Love Is... ~ SCRUMP-DILLY-ISH-US!!!
Get out your best china & silver ... it deserves it!
Every now & then one must splurge ... you MUST try this
recipe ... it is over the moon exquisite!
Hubby has lost at least 15#. As a treat I decided to make a dessert ... he has to lose weight because of health.
I have lost 17# & so love my sweets, trust me! I don't have to lose weight but for an unknown reason, it is just happening. Do you see me complaining ... not one bit!
Take a white cake mix ... ANY old white cake mix. Bake as directed on box. Cool!
~ Luscious Lime Frosting ~
1 c. softened butter, yes real butter
1/4 c. fresh squeezed lime juice
5 c confectioners sugar
1 - 8 oz. frozen (Cool Whip) whipped topping, thawed
in a LARGE (yes) bowl beat butter & lime juice until blended. Add 1 c. at a time of confectioners sugar, until smooth. Add whipped topping, beating with mixer until combined. Take coconut flakes & pat them down into the frosting.
THEN ~ smother that plain ol' white cake with this elegant, scrumptuous, decadent frosting ... Take coconut flakes & pat them down into the frosting. THAT beauty is what you will enjoy ...
This one is for you CherryJelly-sis ... did you see that cherry garnish on top!
S L O W L Y the computer retrieval is coming around, this is NOT fun trying to find things, oh, did it ever DUMP our files.

Congrats to you and hubby for your weight loss. It does feel good to slim down a bit. After our vacation last summer, I went on WW and lost 15 lbs. Survived the holidays and feel great. Nothing taste as good as being thin feels, except your CAKE of course. LOL.
Taking a B'day break for a lunch invite today. Loving a day off.
Hugs and love from Texas,
Celestina Marie

ReplyDeleteSo sorry about the file dumping. That's a real aggravation. Hope you get it sorted out soon.
I am going to save this because in a month I will wake up at 2a.m and decide I must try to make it and then be wondering around looking for the recipe on the 100 or so blogs I visit!
