~ Love Is... Rock-a-bye Surprise ~
Once upon a time there was a precious blue bundle that arrived
to love forever ...
Visit our Love Is... ladies ~ Sherry & Anne & Tete
Tho a delightful surprise from our daughter, Cari, ... this sweetly loved wee one is Joshua & is the light of our lives ... our special precious boy, now all grown up.
Happy Birthday, Joshua!
(Don't stop here ... there is a lovely surprise tucked in this write)
What a joy it has been to be in your daily life since birth ... the precious memories that now fill our hearts with darling moments ~ smiles ~ deep love ...
The wee babe held close to our hearts,
Your precious first smile & first moment of recognition,
How we beamed at your first word, crawling, steps.
Your yelling Bob Barker every time the Price Is Right came on & you beat feet in your walker across the floor to see him on the TV.
How you loved to sit in our laps & read books, you loved your library of stories.
And with each year all the firsts filled our hearts with such love & joy daily,
To watch 'our precious special boy'
So loved ...
Grow.
Snuggling for hours together ...
Gentle sweet loving hugs ...
Just being together ...
(Keep going ... )
How you would spend hours hammering nails in a silly piece of wood ...
Your sweet 'I am working with Poppy'.
Your daily raiding the fridge, no night walking for you.
The countless hours we would spend looking at
the hundreds of pictures we took & my putting them into picture albums, handwriting notes along the sides for you to recall, laughing & chatting of the moments & events ...
How you loved to mop the floor & wash the dishes,
All the baking & licking those egg beaters, we did together.
We grew seedlings in the house all winter & you made your first garden in spring,
Your delight as we checked daily on each plants growth & then summer harvest.
Such fascination with all the insects we would watch & 'how come, Mini...'
Our walking thru the gardens to smell the flowers, buzzing bees ... (a wee bit further)
Watching the birds soaring thru the skies ...
The first bird house you made & proudly hung, is still on the tree. All the eggs we watched, then the excitement from the babies that hatched as we peeked in to view. Remember when 'mommy' got really upset & tried to scurry us away from the nests ... mercy! she was aggravated with us tipping that house to enjoy her babies.
Our closeness is beyond measure, to treasure, forever ... a precious relationship that is a love we were so blessed to share. Our pride burst forth every second(s) of your life. We have weathered many moments
that tested us all ...
(Nearly there ...)
How you just HAD to have this cardboard box bed from Pre-K so we brought it home, & you slept in it for months beside our bed ... how we would just smile & enjoy you, so soundly asleep ... & then you outgrew it. Look at that preciousness ... snuggled in with your 'buddies'. You would squeeze 'Purr' the lion to hear his gentle sound & say 'it reminds me of you, Mini'. Melt my heart!
It didn't matter than you were growing UP, you were 'our special little boy'.
Forever this you shall remain. We still tear up from these blessed moments & memories, precious hugs & love ... timeless heartfelt blessings ... (almost there...)
Now, this cradle we had custom made that once held you, rocked you ever so gently ...
Filled with your collection of teddy bears & piggies that you snuggled lovingly ...
Will be cradling a new 'little one' ... a new joy to behold ... a new life & love
to spoil, as did we you ...
It is still hard to imagine that you are going to be having your first wee one in a mere
few months.
Many tears have been shed, for both joy & hope of this child's safe entry into this world ... been a rough journey ...
May God forever protect this child, may we all have loving moments to treasure in this new life, as have we yours.
Joshua & Ashley
will present ...
Mackenzie Paige Ford arrives in Sept. 2011

Marydon, you did a wonderful post about such a great young man. He was a beautiful child and grew into a handsome young man with a beautiful wife. May she always treasure his love as you have. What a lucky boy he is to have you to love him and spoil him. This baby girl has a summer full of growing yet to do and I pray that it is an easy pregnancy and delivery, and by the time September rolls around, you have found another box to put beside your bed for sleep overs.
ReplyDeleteSafe journey to this precious child who is wrapped in angel wings until you can hold her in your arms.
Blessings and hugs- Tete
