~ I Have Vintage Pretties For You ... ~
C'mon, slip on your walking shoes, let's take a stroll thru a small city ... don't these look so much more comfy than those 4"ers they wear nowadays! So summery & they will match any outfit, casual or dressy.
Thank you Miss Beverly, our wonderful
hostess of PINK SATURDAY. Do join the
other pink ladies @ http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/
A wonderful antique shop had some of the most lovely vintage dresses/gowns/lingerie I have seen in a long time.
Now you know me & HATS. I was having
a grand time ...
I love the delicate lace draping this bodice ... the shimmering satin skirt.
Pink can be worn day or night & love those gorgeous bulky beads ...
This gown could have been a bridal beauty, a prom delight or a cocktail party debutante ... way back when.
After a long day, what a beautiful elegant peignoir to slip into & relax after a champagne, candlit, soothing bubble bath ...

ReplyDeleteHi Marydon,
ReplyDeleteYou have me now wondering why we stopped wearing beautiful nightgowns and lacy coverups...now it's pajama bottoms and camisoles or tshirts! LOL!
I would love to take that gorgeous prom dress home with me.

Sissie
That would be a great shop to take you back in time to the world of pinks.
ReplyDeleteI love vintage clothes and hats, those were the days when clothes had style, nothing like today's! I always find it such a shame that hats are never worn anymore. I remember in the 60's, mom would always make herself a hat to match the outfit she was wearing:-) Love the picture of you with that cute hat!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteOH, what lovely finds! Hope you bought them all! Happy PS!
ReplyDeleteOOOOoooo!! How lovely! I would wear all of it! And those shoes are just perfect! I could wear them everywhere! I would wear them to the grocery store!

ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI stumbled across your Blog, and I don't think it was an accident. You see, me and my daughters just started a new Blog, and we were deciding over two names, Red Rose Alley and Blushing Rose. Well, we went with Red Rose Alley. We found out that Blushing rose was already taken. We have so much in common. I love vintage things too. I have been married to my husband forever like you, and I love God and appreciate all the comments you have on your side bar. We would love it if you could stop and visit us and follow. The link is: http://redrosealley.blogspot.com We just recently did a post on "Home Treasures," and it will give you a chance to get to know us a little better. Hope to hear from you, and have a sweet day.

Wow, what fancy pinks! I always wonder about the women that buy these vintage clothes at the shops and if they actually wear them or just collect them!
ReplyDeleteI read in a previous post your Husband has another surgery. I am so thankful he came through and id doing well. I pray he continues to heal and does not need any more surgery. These bodies of ours can just go ca-put on us and there's sometimes not a lot we can do about it but take the hits as they come.
I didn't know you were coming to town soon! I'll email you my phone # before August so we can hopefully meet up. Happy Pink Saturday and have a beautiful Sunday!
Ha! I stopped over here I think last night and I thought you were giving away those shoes! I figured I would let someone else win them, so I didn't comment! Duh! Too funny :-)
ReplyDeleteHope your weekend is going well. Glad to hear that Harold is doing well. What an answer to prayer! Take care and have a nice Father's Day!
Oh how beautiful, Vintage pretties is what I love:) Hugs and Father's Day blessings to you and your Honey!
