Do not interfere ... I am busy working on those fabulous See's Chocolate's, a sippy of champagne & sniffing beautiful florals! Can't you just feel the love coming thru!
First, do you like the hair do? I am toying with letting it get longer but still indecisive ...
Now I have been sharing all these beautiful days we spent with Tanza & her mother, Donna ...
you can not know how blessed we are to have had such a grand time.
The jibber jabber constant, the laughter ever more ...
Ooooo's & ahhh's ...
These darling little birds are soooo vintage adorable! They sit beautifully on my stove ... every time I cook I think of Tanza & Donna ... but then so would you.
Tanza's friend made this marriage of a candle stick & candy dish, isn't it darling?
The chintz cream & sugar look perfect with my English cup & sitting elegantly on the dining room table ...
This delicate chintz dish graces the table between our 2 green chairs in our living room ...
These heart ornies adorn G'ma Maggie's cook table that we use for a kitchen island ... at Christmas they will go on our tree
The glove box graces my dresser ...
And the heart warming note that I found while making beds ... Tanza melted my heart.
Sachet sweetly tucked on the silver tray on G'ma Maggie's table ...
When the flowers arrived I just sat down & cried ... gosh! we miss them all. The house is so silent.
And then, the next day this huge box arrived with See's chocolates ... I feel like a queen ... and, yes, I did let Harold have a couple ... chuckle!
Thank you Donna, Tanza & Taylor for the wonderful memories ... for the beginning of our journey together & many more memories left to be made. We love you all.
What a lovely tribute to your friend! So lovely.

Flowers and candy - that's a hard combination to beat!
ReplyDeleteYou sure look like you are having a good time with the chocolates and champagne! I think some of the dresser items like the box and shoe may have been painted by Celestina Marie. Another dear bloggy friend and talented artist. Keep going on your hair. You might have a phase where it seems you cannot do anything with it as it grows, but it is worth it when it gets to the length you want.
ReplyDeleteHi Marydon! Wow, how sweet of your friends to leave you so many little mementos! Lovely gifts and you look so pretty! In my younger age I had planned on letting my tiny hair grow long and then I would wear it up. Shoot! My hair just keeps getting shorter and shorter! :)
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia :)
What wonderful gifts. Marydon, you are blessed with beautiful friends and family.:)
ReplyDeleteMarydon, sorry , I did not find any flour sacks at the flea market..it was a sad place. I looked in the Antique barn ...none there either. But I will be on the look out every time I go junking now:):) xo, Susie
Marydon, Oh how I love Sees candy. Do you know that I go there at least every two weeks? It's so nice when I get to go, and I get a chance to talk with my friend that works there. Your English tea cup is beautiful. Now, why can't I find one like that? I have been looking for the perfect tea cup, but haven't found any that I like yet. The little birds are too cute. What lovely goodies your friends gave you.

ReplyDeleteGood Evening Sis...
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful time you, Tanza, Donna and Tay had with you and Harold. You hearts are so BIG, and you open them to all that find the key of friendship. I will never forget the face that greeted me at the airport, the love that grew from that moment, the chatter, the laughter, the tears and everything in between. I found myself smiling as you wrote about their visit. I know that hospitality so WELL.
I love your hair. I think you have had to many SEE'S though. Now put the rest up for a rainy day. And no, not tomorrow either.
I find my heart tugging at me as I see your beautiful face, and feel the pull at my heart strings. You are forever etched into my very soul. I love you sweet Sis. I love you. Thank you for sharing your beautiful time with Tanza and family. I so enjoyed my tour.
Many hugs and SO much love, your lil Sis, Sherry
How funny. Just last evening my Beautiful Beloved said, I'm thinking I might let my hair grow a bit longer; but then at my age, I'm not so sure.
ReplyDeleteWell, the ladies always want to look good, and we guys appreciate that!
What pretty pretties. I especially love the little candy dish. Isn't it wonderful to have good friends? I can only imagine what a wonderful host you are.
ReplyDeleteBalisha
My favorite colors, my favorite chocolate and I LOVE the hairdo! You just don't see up-dos on ladies much these days and it's so pretty. Cool and somehow very dressy looking I think. My two cents!!
ReplyDeleteOh, Marydon, so many wonderful and sweet gifts!! I know Tanza and her family appreciated your hospitality so much. I would love to be there sipping some of the bubbly with you, eating chocolates and smell those beautiful flowers!! I think your hair looks cute, too. Sending loads of love to you~Vicki
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday Marydon. Lovely gifts for a lovely lady. Thanks for your visit and comments. Your flowers are gorgeous. Joyous Wishes, Linda
ReplyDeleteSo very lovely - love all these sweet treasures - loved reading about your time together - I decided two years ago to let my hair grow and haven't regretted one moment!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed weekend,
Kathy
Gosh, those chocolates look fabulous, Marydon; eat some for me!
ReplyDeleteI'll let you know about the sizes and thank you. What I didn't say was the daughter is severely mentally retarded; this family needs HELP.
What fun and such sweet treasues. Those little birds are too cute!
ReplyDeleteI really like your hair, it looks so cute and sassy! I'm in the loooong process of growing out my short layers right now too. I hope I hold off the scissors long enough to get imy hair at least to chin length. :)
