The crisp air, frost bit morns, clear blue skies ...
Color palettes only God can create ...
As the earth prepares for a long rest ...
We can smell the aromatic pumpkin & apple pies lingering in our homes ...
Candles flickering ...
Birds busying for the long winter months soon to arrive ...
The gentle breezes now become winds ...
Seeds rest in the fresh earth ...
Where once again a rose will bloom ...
Listen ... be wise, & keep your heart on the right path. Proverbs 23:19
It is easier to gaze into the sun ...
Than into the face of the mystery of God ...
Such is its beauty & its radiance. (Hildegard of Bingen)
You have to look for the joy
Look for the light of God that is hitting your life & you will find sparkles you didn't know were there. (Barbara Johnson)
We took up over 100 geraniums to keep over the winter in the garage ...
My wonderful diLove Cathelene's rose ...
Yesterday around 3PM I saw this 'creature' pass by my office window ...
Of course the camera was on the other end of the house, so I darted for it to capture the fox. Never before have we seen one in broad daylight on our property.
I am getting better every day, but assure yourself, you don't want to go thru this. Cover your skin, use sun lotions, wear hats or use umbrellas. I have a 3 1/2" scar from my throat downward. THANK YOU ALL for your sweet loving notes & hugs & prayers ... they each more than all the platinum in the world.

marydon, I will hold you in my prayers. You sound as if you are staying busy. My sister has a fox coming around at evening, she sits on her porch and watches it. Smiles, Susie
ReplyDeletePraying that you are feeling better and will heal quickly.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, Marydon!!! How cool to see the fox. I keep thinking how us humans are taking over their homes and that makes me sad...
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry that they had to take more of your skin than you had hoped...I wear sunscreen EVERYDAY!!! I had the "precancer" on my nose a few years ago and that sure changed my views!
Praying for healing! Maybe some Vit E oil will be good for your skin while it's healing?!
Warmly,
deb
So glad your surgery is over. Hope you recover quickly. Prayers are heading your way.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fox.
Lucky you to have gotten even those shots.
Looks like your weather has been beautiful.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. And many thanks for sharing such beauty today!
ReplyDeleteWe love you so much, Mini! If you need anything just let us know!
ReplyDeleteLove, Ashley, Josh, & Mackenzie
Hi Marydon, just beautiful! I'll have to live my crisp autrum air and colors through you because it's hotter than blazes here! :)
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better today and not in any pain. You're in my prayers.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Beautiful photos and loveeeee the Fox!! Hope you get better soon my dear friend!!!
ReplyDeleteA fox in your yard?!!! Now that is something, it almost looks like he was after something in your bushes, hopefully not a cat..yikes!!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you are on the mend now and hopefully not have to go through it again.
I am taking my geraniums in this year also...I say I am going to do it every year but somehow it gets away from me. I end up scolding myself in the Spring, when I pay that price to preplace them...ugh.
Do you lightly water them once a month like my neighbor?
Please keep us updated on your recovery. xo
Wonderful pictures today. We have had a fox or two in our neighborhood this year too. I think we are encroaching on their territory.
ReplyDeleteI hope that you continue healing and aren't hurting.
Balisha
HUGS, but not too hard :)

Miss you my sweet friend, and please take care of your sweet self. And yes, cover up and hide from the sun light, it's soo brutal on our skin.

All my love xo

Hi Marydon *hugs*
ReplyDeleteI haven't been blogging very much lately and I didn't realize you were having surgery. I pray you are better all better this time and healing quickly. *hugs*.
Your pictures and your words are beautiful. What a beautiful time it is. How exciting to see the fox too. Beautiful.
Judi
Hugs to you. Don't get near that fox - it might have rabies. And you are beautiful just the way you are. Thanks for the warnings and I do wear sunscreen. Hugs and prayers. sandie
ReplyDeleteI am glad you are doing well, and pray for complete healing for you, dear one.
ReplyDeleteYour advice is excellent, and I wear hats pretty much all the time when I am outdoors. I like my sparkly baseball caps.
That fox is a lovely visitor.
I'm so sorry you've had to go through this. You've had quite a year.
ReplyDeleteI love what you said about God's color palette.
I'm glad each day brings you closer to feeling 100 percent.
ReplyDeleteLove all your photos of God's artwork. The fox is fun too. We see them across the road in the cornfield from time to time. As long as they leave our chickens alone I am fine with them.
So much beauty around your home! That's a lot of Geraniums to care for:) My brother had a skin cancer removed from his face and he said the same thing! COVER the skin! Have a blessed and healing kinda day my dear friend, HUGS!
ReplyDeleteI am pleased to read that you are recovering well Marydon. AS long as the fox scares away easily it's normally harmless...when they don't scare away, you need to call animal control. They are either too comfortable around humans or sick....be careful. We had a den of them two years in a row in our back woods and they would play in our back yard early in the mornings and right about dusk.
ReplyDeleteOh my, I totally wasn't aware you had surgery!!! I'm so glad you're home now. I pray you have a speedy recovery. {{hugs}}
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely post! The pics are wonderful. The fox...now that's an amazing capture!
Beautiful photos! How lovely fall is there now. I loved seeing the fox as well! Neat!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are healing. God bless.
Truly a Blessing to hear you are fairing well. Many Hugs to you on this crispy fall day {{{{{HUGS}}}}}},
ReplyDeleteThinking of You!

So glad you are doing better. I agree we need to hide from the sun. Makes me cringe these young girls that fry themselves in the tanning beds. You are in my prayers each day sweet friend.
ReplyDeleteXoxo
Ginger
Glad you are on the mend, Marydon. Thanks for reminding all of us to be wary in the sunshine. God bless you as you recover...a FOX?! Yikes! I probably would have thought it was a dog.
