This morning as I reflect
on the change of seasons
I think of the different people
Who have come & gone in my life
Taking root like new spring plants
Blooming like summer flowers
Ripening like harvest fruit
Resting like snow-covered trees
Just as the circle of seasons
Is vital to renewed life
I accept
I give thanks for
The seasons of my own life. (unknown author)
It is an extraordinary & beautiful thing
That God, in creation ... works with the beauty of matter
The reality of things
The discoveries of the senses
All five of them
So that we, in turn
May hear the grass growing
See a face springing to life in love & laughter
The offerings of creation
Our glimpses of truth. (Madeleine L'Engle)
Most of these pictures are on our road that we walk
The heavens peaking thru
A touch of color here & there
Our precious little Miss T ...
Tatiana (front left) getting ready to kick off in her soccer game yesterday
Love this action pics of Tatiana

Such beautiful pictures and meaningful words to go with them! Our Autumn colours were at their full peak a few days ago but after a very strong wind two days ago, the trees are starting to look pretty bare now.
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures of Tatiana as well, playing a sport she truly enjoys:) My next door neighbour's daughter, Amanda, who's 12, plays soccer as well and she really loves it.
Hope your weekend is a wonderful one my friend. xoxo
So beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing as I also take a moment to reflect on my seasons I wish for the seasons to slow down. I want to hold things a little tighter.
It is so important for us to reflect and be grateful. You have wonderful scenery on your walk....
ReplyDeleteMarydon, Autumn takes me back in my mind...to when my mother was still with us. She loved fall. I miss my parents and all the loved ones that have gone on before us.

Looks like a beautiful walk with lots of loveleigh scenery! My Man Cub is playing soccer too. I am not a big sports fan and thought I would be bored but they are actually funny to watch when they're that little! He really loves it so hopefully he will keep playing!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures! We are still waiting for the change of seasons here in Orlando, would love a little cool weather. I always get a little melancholy in the fall, I think it is partly due to it getting dark early, yep a time to reflect!
