Our final travels on our Thanksgiving trip ... there are just some times in ones life that they must get away. Being on the road with God & nature can be so soothing to the soul & refreshing being alone, but together. We truly needed this 'time' ...
There are several covered bridges in PA & we had not seen them all ... now we have
I do not know why I have such a delight in the beauty of bridges. Our dad used to scare us to death crossing bridges. He'd slow down or stop at the bridge edge, telling us he had to line the car up 'just right' to get across the bridge. We were terrified. To this day I am not thrilled about being on a bridge, I just love to look at them. Sometimes that rosary was nearly worn out ...
Our great-grandchildren will probably not know what a real barn looks like ... they will long be gone

The day was soooo perfect with the snow showers ...
As we were passing, by a car had pulled into this farm driveway & this gorgeous horse got all excited greeting the people. He was jumping & dancing like you've never seen ... just precious to see his excitement.

Everybody should just make a conscious decision to be happy & to have a good day - every morning. It's easier to be happy than angry. Anger uses up a lot of energy that could be used for SMILING.
The trick is to figure out a way to live within your means, & want what you have, not what you want.

Marydon, I have so enjoyed your pictures of your trip. The covered bridges were awesome. You don't see a lot of those anymore. You are right about the barns probably being gone. I just love the country drives on two lane highways you can see so much more. You know you will be in my thoughts and prayers during this trying time for both of us. 2 of my very favorite things! Covered bridges and barns! Did you ever see Bridges of Madison County? Sweet love story but has a beautiful covered bridge in the movie along with Clint Eastwood!!!!
