Happy anniversary to you and your beloved, Marydon! Congratulations on 52 years of living and loving! I was struck by your use of the "Love Is" cartoons. I interviewed Kim and her delightful husband many years ago in Los Angeles when she was five months pregnant with their first child. They were a lovely, absolutely wonderful couple -- so very much in love. But, unlike you and your husband, they did not have the gift of time. Kim was widowed at a heartbreakingly young age when her husband died of cancer -- only a few years after my encounter with them -- and then she died very young as well. I think that first child now manages the strip.
ReplyDeleteIt all goes to show that love is wonderful however long people have with each other. But it's really something special when you share your lives for more than 50 years! Congratulations!
