God should be our steering wheel, Not a spare tire.
~Have a beautiful week & pray for our nation~
...do not attack others for their beliefs … let them worship as they please
God may have created man before woman, but there is always a rough draft before the masterpiece
What a pretty pink picture! I love the quote, because sometime we all treat the Lord like a casual friend! Thanks for sharing. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteLove that quote and so very true. God should be our pilot and not our co-pilot either, I'd like to go where He is headed!

What a beautiful quote! So true. I am guilty of doing that at times. Thank you for the reminder. You always steer me back to where I belong, thank you Marydon. Funny how I used the word steer when you just mentioned God being the steering wheel. God has a way doesn't he?

HI!!!
ReplyDeleteThat was a sermon at our church a couple months ago, remember I blogged about my steering wheel and spare tire, I hope he is my steering wheel guiding me where I need to go, not dragged out when I am in an emergency!!!!
He is great and I am happy to serve him and I hope I do not disappoint!!!
hugs,
jamie
Amen Sister Friend! Hope you've been well. It's cloudy today here in Bonaire, and I'm up early trying to touch base with some of my favorite people. I'm sitting here looking out the windows in my computer room and there is a flush of new blooms on all three pear trees in my front yard! The wind has blown many of them to the ground and I'm telling you it looks like Christmas. Even without lovely sunshine, I'm feeling it might be a great day!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Love and Monday Sunshine, Terri
So true Marydon! I always have a hard time handing over the steering wheel, but God is a much better driver than I am!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday!
Carol
Hi Marydon! Love this quote.. first time I've heard it, but IS it ever TRUE!! I felt like decorating today, but either God, or my conscience, or both are steering me towards some spring cleaning instead today!.. Oh well.. It DOES need to be done! ((hugs)) ~tina
ReplyDeleteHi Marydon,
ReplyDeleteYes, and pray for our nation we should. Love the sweet little graphic.
Thank you for stopping by and your kind words. You are always so encouraging to me and it means so much. Thank you.
Have a great week and blessings to you sweet friend.
Love, Celestina Marie
What a lovely pink image of an angel. Yes, those of us who like to be in control certainly have a hard time letting him do the steering. Probably on of the hardest things we do is place outselves completely in his hands and let him do the driving.
ReplyDeleteHi Marydon,
ReplyDeleteI was just stopping by to say Hi!
Have a wonderful week!
Hugs, Elizabeth
Hi Marydon! Love that quote -- that's one I never heard before.
ReplyDeleteI have been praying a lot for our nation lately; not sure how that's working out but I have to have Faith.
As for the blog ladies gathering, wow that is tempting. I am going to have to check the calendar. MD is not that far away from NJ!
And would you believe I have never been to Cape May? I need to remedy that!
Cass
We are doing pretty good, hanging in there! I agree, we are praying for our nation! Luvu, Kerrie
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the truth! Thanks for the reminder

A lovely image and a beautiful quote, Marydon. Love the bit of whimsy.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your visits and your fun & sweet comment!
Have a lovely week!
Cheers!
Tina
I have been praying like crazy for our nation --and what is happening. Scares me to death... We are gradually losing our freedoms. And the sad thing is that most people are totally unaware. I hope that this is just the battle that we have lost --and hopefully, we can win the war...
ReplyDeleteGod Bless.
Hugs,
Betsy
Marydon,
ReplyDeleteOh sweet sweet Marydon, I have missed visiting with you. I am glad to hear that you are feeling better, and mom is anxiously awaiting her birthday, she can't wait to come out there and visit with you in person, she adores you so much. You are truly a wonderful woman. I pray you and sweet Harold have a wonderful week ahead, and I know that the Lord will oversee this problem I have run into and he will definately send down some goodness soon.
I missed ya.
Hugs,
Heidi
Now those are words to live by! Thanks for a great quote. Have a very happy week ;-)
ReplyDeleteHi Marydon,
ReplyDeleteThis quote is one that I often have to remind myself. Seems like I am always asking for help when things are bad and not being thankful enough for all my blessings. I'm working on that.
You have a beautiful week too my dear.
hugs
Sissie
OH! HOW WE NEED TO PRAY FOR OUR NATION.
ReplyDeletePATSY
Good evening my dear Marydon! You're so right... oh how we need our dear Lord to come into our lives... thanks for the inspiration and may you and yours be blessed...

Have a lovely week, Marydon! :)
ReplyDeleteJoining in prayer with you for our nation! Nice to 'meet' you.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this beautiful reminder, Marydon! ♥ I so needed this. I've been feeling really down about our nation this week because I haven't been encouraged by the way I see our country going. I've been experiencing a very sinking feeling in my heart, realizing that this isn't quite the same place that my Grandfather immigrated to in 1911, where the American dream involved the highest hopes. At any rate, I've forgotten some days that God is still and always will be - the ONE in charge of this earth, despite appearances.
ReplyDeleteI needed this blessing of a reminder. Thank you.
