...do not attack others for their beliefs … let them worship as they please
God may have created man before woman, but there is always a rough draft before the masterpiece
Some days, I wish I could stay home and not work! Oh well, maybe once my DH gets his RN ;-)
ReplyDeleteWhen I read this I could hear my Grandmother reciting it!! It reminded me of the 1950's when I was a child.....
ReplyDeleteLove it!!!
Have a Wonderful Day!
Marilyn
Sweet words.
ReplyDeleteSeems like another life time ago. sandie
ReplyDeleteI prefer the "old paths" too! Hope you and your sweet Husband are doing well:) HUGS!
ReplyDeleteTimes from another day I think. I like the picture you chose for this post. Have a good day, Marydon.
ReplyDeleteHi Marydon. Reading this made me long for those good old days. Unfortunately I'm afraid they are gone forever. Thank you for the nice comment you made on my blog.
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet to visit both blogs, Marydon. Thank you for stopping by to visit.
ReplyDeleteMarydon- What a great post. I feel a lot like he does! I think sometimes this world is so fast-paced and we have forgotten how to parent children..and forgotten that children NEED to be parented. Lovely, moving post- Diana
ReplyDeleteMarydon,
ReplyDeleteI so agree with you!!!! I was just at Sherry's blog...I am so angry!!!! What is wrong with people???? I guess your post says it all......Sandy
I so prefer the old paths!! I do not want to work. I think I scorn the womens liberation movement!! It seemed womens life has not been the same. And I feel it did more harm than good! JMO
ReplyDeleteLOVE this, Marydon!!! I like the old paths too...probably one of the reasons why the 1940's is my decade of choice. Ah, if I only had a time machine.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day.
Love,
Patti
Amen!
ReplyDeleteAmen! ♥♥
ReplyDelete*hugs*deb
Me too..Amen!!

WISH I COULD TURN BACK THE HANDS OF TIME!!!
ReplyDeleteXO~MARI
I absolutely love this! I long for those days when we could stay at home and be wives and mothers. But those days are long gone. Now it is the women that are making the living while the men stay at home in many instances. So sad that our country has given up these values. I love America and I love being a woman.
ReplyDeleteHi Marydon,
ReplyDeleteI love this, and agree with each word !! We sure live in a different place and time now .. So many times good is bad, and bad is good !! There is no right or wrong, and have to be so careful not to offend, by speaking the truth ..
Thanks for sharing, and always being so wonderful to me, and everyone whose path you cross .. you bless me ~
Huggers ~TeA~ xo
Those were certainly the good ole days, weren't they? I often find myself thinking about these times.
ReplyDeleteGone are the innocence of youths, and the easy living. Now we are faced with critical times, and folks not having any natural affections for other. Lord we are living in some hard times!
Thanks for sharing these words with us. Love to you and Hubby. Luv-Loretta
God Bless that Minister is TN. sandi
ReplyDeleteMommie was NOT driving, but being chauffeured to DE! I promise if she is traveling alone or with dad I will make sure she stays with you. She loves you and Mr. Harold, too!

when Andrew was born, I kept a diary. Last November, I took out the diary and started writing my book.

Marydon,
ReplyDeleteGreat post! And wow how times have definitely changed.
Even though my Mom did not stay home and worked every day from the time she was 16y/o until she was 67. If you have a chance, please visit and see the tribute to my Mom.
Hugs,
Debbie
Boy that verse says it all doesnt it?
ReplyDeleteThat line between work and crime certainly has been blurred. Back to the old paths!
ReplyDeleteWonderful poem, Marydon. I think the old path was definitely better.
ReplyDeleteOld paths are the best, indeed.
ReplyDeleteNancy
That was really sweet but I grew up in those times and it was not idyllic for everyone. The old paths would be my favorite way to live too.
ReplyDeleteHi Marydon, I prefer the old paths too. Thanks for stopping by to comment on my Tag Tuesday post. Have a wonderful week. Hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteHi Marydon, I hope things are going well with you and Harold. I liked your post today and definitely agree with it. Unfortunately our world has changed and parts of it not for the better. I worked, but our children knew right from wrong, to be polite and courteous to people. I don't know what has happened with some of the young people today. Take care Your Missouri Friend.
ReplyDeleteI so would sometimes like those days back.
ReplyDeleteI follow you now my friend. xooxoo hugs
Wonderful words....I can say amen to this....I am a firm believer in the old path....thanks so much for sharing this....blessings
