Oh, Marydon, one of the reasons why I posted Garlic Gus was in the hopes someone knew some background information on the little elves. Can you remember what years your mother had the elves. I've tried to pinpoint the age of them. Garlic Gus is quite a bit older than the other elves and his face is slightly different. I picture my grandmother "swiping" Gus during the 1930's, but when I've looked up the other elves on the internet they peg the years they were made as in the 1950's. It does not match up with my grandmother's story. I would really appreciate your input and thank you, thank you for your comment.

Happy birthday to your dear granddaughter!! I'm sure it's nearly impossible for you to believe that she is all grown up. At least that's how I feel...my sweet daughter will turn 21 in February, and I'm not at all sure how that is possible. I mean, it seems like she was only born about 5 years ago. Where DO the years go?
