~ Cup o'Tea & Enjoy ~
Parade of boats/floats ...
Frederick, Md. has Carroll Creek running thru the middle of town.
Each year they have the Frederick float boat parade.
Anyone can enter ... you will see only a mere portion of the creative talents of
business & individuals who entered.
They have areas for children do to the hula hoop, make bubbles, skate board, dance, etc.
You can dance in the street ...
Along the canal area restaurants, bistros, little shops & businesses ...
Nearly every boat had something they would throw to the audience ...
bananas, candy, balls, frizzbees ...
What an array of talented canoes & boats ..
imaginations were fabulous ... this one was
for our local zoo...
creativity awesome ...
& in honor of our troops ... THANK YOU!
for all you do to protect us & our nation.
May God hold you safely in His hands.
What a beautiful clear day, AFTER a
horrible rain storm that passed thru quickly only an hour before ...
Uncle Sam made the rounds visiting his citizens of this great country ...
Barbara Fritchie gave a historical speech from her time in history, the color guard Scouts performed ...
Oops! boat jams everywhere ...
The parade ...
passing thru the bridges ...
People brought their pets of all sorts. I fell in love with Riley, he is just gorgeous.
there are fountains & waterfalls along the canal ...
on some of these bridge walls there are beautiful artists paintings ...
There were many bands playing every possible type of music up & down the canals ...
This is where you put money in the jar for your favorite float. They won money. The remainder of the cash prize money goes to the Downtown Partnership.
A wonderful day, great events, good food, fabulous time.
Enjoyed by everyone.
