~ Oh, What A Pink Morn-Ning!! ~
(Once) Now upon a time there (was) IS a fairy painting goddess who creates beauty
wherever she (goes) (touches) paints!
I am sure you know this beautiful lady ~ Celeste ~ @ larearose ... but if you do not, you run right over there & get acquainted with this beautiful lady.
Celeste has a passion for shoe molds. Her grandfather was a shoemaker in the old country.
She sent this gorgeous beauty for me to use as a paper weight or just part of our decor. It sits gracefully on our mantle beside the baby shoe she created for me.
THANK YOU for this beautiful birthday
gift Celeste, I'll treasure it forever!
And, then to boot (I couldn't resist!) she painted my
English teapot that I found at that fabulous yard
sale a couple weeks ago.
I am presenting to you Celeste's beautiful redo of
my teapot ... as it sits elegantly atop the awesome
runner that Spencer @ Bellamere Cottage gifted
me with.
The dining room is so beautifully graced by these two elegant creations of (2) gifted sweet friends.
Join me w/Jacqueline @ http://www.deeprootsathome.com/
This was very special for me, as it is my birthday present to 'moi'!
Look at the awesome dainty lace-ing Celeste added
with the little dots.
Roses of perfection adorn ... accented by scallops ...
... on both sides.
And, tucked in that box delivered ...
are (2) more wee shoe molds, ...
Well, now you KNOW you wanted to see another
pic of our little Miss M at 2 days old. Picture
of pink perfection ... love her so!
They can be used as ornies on our Christmas tree ...
Smothered in delicate roses & sparkly
touches, ribbon & bows ...
They gracefully adorn our kitchen table vignette
to enjoy every day.
And, just lil' ol me popping in to say 'have
a beautiful PINK day!
Thank you for all your sweet comments, prayers & warm love ... you mean so much to me.

~ Seasons ... Love ~
Reflecting on the change of seasons,
I think of the different people who have come & gone in my life ...
(My Arizona rose)
taking root like new spring plants, blooming like summer flowers, ripening like harvest fruit & resting like snow covered trees.
Just as the circle of seasons is vital to renewed life, I accept, & give thanks for, the seasons of my own life.
The greatest gift of all thru God is the ability to forgive ... & holding forth my hand ...

~ Let Me Brighten Your Day ... Chuckle ~
The math teacher saw that Larry wasn't paying attention in class. She
called on him and said, 'Larry! What are 2 and 4 and 28 and 44?' Larry
quickly replied, 'NBC, FOX, ESPN and the Cartoon Network!'
Larry's kindergarten class was on a field trip to their local police
station where they saw pictures tacked to a bulletin board of the 10
most wanted criminals. One of the youngsters pointed to a picture and
asked if it really was the photo of a wanted person. 'Yes,' said the
policeman. 'The detectives want very badly to capture him.' Larry
asked, "Why didn't you keep him when you took his picture?"
Little Larry attended a horse auction with his father. He watched as his
father moved from horse to horse, running his hands up and down the
horse's legs and rump, and chest. After a few minutes, Larry asked,
'Dad, why are you doing that?' His father replied, 'Because when I'm
buying horses, I have to make sure that they are healthy and in good
shape before I buy. Larry, looking worried, said, 'Dad, I think the UPS
guy wants to buy Mom ...'

Love Is... ~ I FINALLY Hit A Good Yard Sale ~
Far too often I am 'pink' with envy of the wonderful finds you gals get at your weekly yard sales. They were few & far between this year ... most literally not worth the stop, so we didn't.
Sharing a peek with you .. enjoy!
Love Is... ladies ~
Tete
Anne
Sherry ~ she is not available yet
And, then there are the unadvertised ones that you just happen upon ...
All of this for $32 ... yup!
This English beauty is being painted with roses, my birthday gift to moi! Isn't it gorgeous!!
The only thing I don't have a pics of is the gorgeous curved leg cedar chest that needs a tiny bit of work ... it was $5, part of the $32 spent. I will show you before & after later.
This shelf I do not have a clue where it will go but for $1 too fab to pass up on.
That gorgeous crystal candle cover was
just $5 ... I love it.
This English platter will be a gift @ Christmas.
And these awesome vintage candlesticks
were a MUST for $5/set.
Golly, still in the wrappers a sweet green runner & napkins & mats. I love green second best, pink will make them lovelier.
These boxes of doo-dad's went to a very special crafter that I adore.
Another great set of brand new napkins ... can never have enough.
The shelf ... got her sanded down to paint.
Aren't her bones lovely!
More placemats ... who wouldn't want to set a dreamy dinner table with these.
A depression era sugar ...
Old ashtrays that I use for spoon rests in the kitchen! Perfect with the slots for the spoons to rest.
A 1960 Hall Baltimore tea Co. teapot, the owner worked for the company for 10 yrs. so the chat was fun ... $5. Yup!, can you believe it ... a pink pretty.
All this Japan lustreware was $5 ... a great deal.
Two different style/colors.
I love them both.
And a lovely Buzza verse ... I used to have tons of them throughout my home. This one is very sweet, titled 'When Things Go Wrong ...'

~ Looking ... ~
up!
We don't realize how precious some parts of our lives are until ...
I am looking upward for support & stability ... & praying for my eyes.
I have lost 25% of my vision since January via cataracts in both eyes. It is difficult to read/see some days. They will be operated on in Oct. & Nov. This will restore a good portion of my vision, but not all.
They have now diagnosed me with Macular Degeneration in both eyes ... there is nothing they can do except watch the progression, give me special vitamins & I can pray that I don't loose my vision which is usually the net outcome in time. I am mentally storing God's beautiful world away, should that day come.
Soooo, I post when my eyes are not too blurry, I read when my eyes are not too worn out.

~ What Religion Is Your Bra? ~ Chuckle time!
A man walked into the ladies department of a Macy's and shyly walked up to the woman behind the counter and said, "I'd like to buy a bra for my wife."
"What type of bra?" asked the clerk.
"Type?" inquires the man, "There's more than one type?"
"Look around," said the saleslady, as she showed a sea of bras in every shape, size, color and material imaginable.
"Actually, even with all of this variety, there are really only four types of bras to choose."
Relieved, the man asked about the types. The saleslady replied:
"There are the Catholic, the Salvation Army, the Presbyterian, and the Baptist types. Which one would you prefer?"
Now totally befuddled, the man asked about the differences between them.
The Saleslady responded, "It is all really quite simple.. "
The Catholic type supports the masses.
The Salvation Army type lifts the fallen,
The Presbyterian type keeps them staunch and upright, and
The Baptist makes mountains out of mole hills.
Have you ever wondered why A, B, C, D, DD, E, F, G, and H are the letters used to define bra sizes?
If you have wondered why, but couldn't figure out what the letters stood for, it is about time you became informed!
(A} Almost Boobs...
{B} Barely there.
{C} Can't Complain!
{D} Dang!
{DD} Double dang!
{E} Enormous!
{F} Fake
{G} Get a Reduction.
{H} Help me, I've fallen and I can't get up !
They forgot the German bra.

A little laughter to start your day ...
