Love Is... ~ I FINALLY Hit A Good Yard Sale ~
Far too often I am 'pink' with envy of the wonderful finds you gals get at your weekly yard sales. They were few & far between this year ... most literally not worth the stop, so we didn't.
Sharing a peek with you .. enjoy!
Love Is... ladies ~
Tete
Anne
Sherry ~ she is not available yet
And, then there are the unadvertised ones that you just happen upon ...
All of this for $32 ... yup!
This English beauty is being painted with roses, my birthday gift to moi! Isn't it gorgeous!!
The only thing I don't have a pics of is the gorgeous curved leg cedar chest that needs a tiny bit of work ... it was $5, part of the $32 spent. I will show you before & after later.
This shelf I do not have a clue where it will go but for $1 too fab to pass up on.
That gorgeous crystal candle cover was
just $5 ... I love it.
This English platter will be a gift @ Christmas.
And these awesome vintage candlesticks
were a MUST for $5/set.
Golly, still in the wrappers a sweet green runner & napkins & mats. I love green second best, pink will make them lovelier.
These boxes of doo-dad's went to a very special crafter that I adore.
Another great set of brand new napkins ... can never have enough.
The shelf ... got her sanded down to paint.
Aren't her bones lovely!
More placemats ... who wouldn't want to set a dreamy dinner table with these.
A depression era sugar ...
Old ashtrays that I use for spoon rests in the kitchen! Perfect with the slots for the spoons to rest.
A 1960 Hall Baltimore tea Co. teapot, the owner worked for the company for 10 yrs. so the chat was fun ... $5. Yup!, can you believe it ... a pink pretty.
All this Japan lustreware was $5 ... a great deal.
Two different style/colors.
I love them both.
And a lovely Buzza verse ... I used to have tons of them throughout my home. This one is very sweet, titled 'When Things Go Wrong ...'

Wowza! Good deals! I hardly ever go to garage sales because I spend too much money! :) I seem to handle the thrifts better. Maybe the open air of the garage sales make me think I'm not REALLY spening anything? I don't know... but I love seeing what you other girls get. :)
ReplyDeleteWow girl, when you hit it, you really hit it! Amazing finds. And what a great bargain. Enjoy your treasures :-)
ReplyDeleteWow, what find! Love the teapot, does it really work or is it just for looks? Way cute and PINK!

You found some great stuff! I haven't been to a decent estate sale or yard sale in two years! Is the economy so bad that people are keeping their stuff and using it, or what?
ReplyDeleteMarydon,
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely finds. The English tea pot looks alot like the one my mom had when I was growing up. I used to polish it every now and then for my her. Isn't it funny how you remember the little things? The LOVE IS... quote is wonderful, and a great way to start the week with.

Hi Marydon! Wow, what a haul! Look at all of your pretties! I can never find anything nice like you've found. The dishes, the crocheted placemats! Oh, you did good!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweetness always!
Love ya,
Shelia ;)
Marydon,
ReplyDeleteYou did hit a good one! I love every single thing!
Looks like you got the mother lode; well done!
ReplyDeleteI love all those treasures. I dont get out early enough on the weekends to make those great finds at yard sales (my loss) and we dont have a lot of shops to frequent here so I am envious. I am sorry about your magular degeneration. My mom had it and I know how debilatating it can be. My eye doctor always is checking me out for it because of mom having had it. You and Harold are in my prayers always. Hugs, LJ
ReplyDeleteOh, LOTS of beautiful goodies! It's so fun when you hit a great yard sale, isn't it? That hasn't been the case for me this year. I don't think I've hit a great garage sale since last August!! That's just way too long.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day...continuing to pray for your eyes.
Love,
Patti
Oh my goodness did you ever rack up girl. Did you take yout gun - you got a steal on that stuff. Love the dishes - so different. You got lucky on this day sweetie.
ReplyDeleteI was just catching up on your blog Marydon and see that sis isn't doing well. I hate to hear Sherry hurt her back and now the computer is down. Hope she is up and running again soon.
Hi Marydon *hugs*
ReplyDeleteWonderful treasures. You certainly did very well. I can't wait to see what becomes of that coffee urn. That reminds me I didn't purchase a very interesting coffee urn myself this past weekend...I should have...*sigh*.
Lovely dishes and candlesticks too. I can't imagine so many napkins that are new!
Enjoy your treasures. Don't you feel good with the prices?
have a great evening
Judi
You found some good shopping somewhere! I love the linens. I'm a sucker for crochet work on linens. Hope you have a great weekend!
