I shared with you recently that we have a vast collection of LOVE IS cartoons by Kim Casali (http://www.tmsfeatures.com/bio/kim-casali/), which I adore.
Sherry(http://countrywingsinphoenix.blogspot.com/visited us in April & we were wandering thru an antique mall & found these gorgeous glasses, below ... & lo & behold in another antique mall we found more. You can just imagine my surprise & elation. I had not seen these before ... today I am presenting to you these darlings in a porch setting to enjoy. I had always been content just fingering thru the cartoons ... but fell in LOVE with these vessels
*** Please remember & pray for our troops on the 4th ... LET FREEDOM RING!!!
Welcome to our celebration ...
We placed red beads in a Waterford goblet & placed a primitive flag (made from actual tattered American flags) for honoring our nation & troops.
The tea cookies are from my friend Chieko in Japan ... scrumptious! They have edible red flowers on top.
The quilt is ragged with an American flag design fabric & police fabric.
We just replaced the cushions to blend with our rosy pink
entry decor.
The cusions are so comfy & the quilt is nice & warm on a cool eve ...
Draping a white dot on red fabric over our table, I gathered it with white ribbons.
And, now I present to you .....
Love Is ... Togetherness
Love Is ... The Greatest Feeling You Can Feel
Love Is ... Giving & Forgiving
Love Is ... Calling Her Just To Say "I Miss You"
Love Is ... A Warm Wonderful Feeling
Love Is ... Being Far Apart Yet So Close
Aren't they adorable in this setting?
Another great post from a beautiful heart. THANK YOU!
ReplyDeleteBig hugs and lots of prayers,
andrea
Good Morning Sweet Sis...
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh what a beautiful setting, just perfect. Oh how I wish I was there to sit and have tea and enjoy the precious treasures we found. I love the cushions they are so perfect, and with the plant in front (the red petunias) really make the photo pop. The little country American flag is the element of surprise in the Waterford crystal glass. I LOVE it. The red polka dotted fabric tied over the table is so inviting. The perfect Americana setting. You my sweet, are so talented.
Thank you so much for sharing with me today. I feel like I was right there the whole time. (Ofcourse if I were, I would be ringing that doorbell, to heck with that I would just run right through the garage door inside to my chair.)
I love you sweet Sis. Hope you have a beautiful day. Again, thank you for making me a part of this celebration of Love Is...today.
Many hugs and so much love,
Your Lil Sis, Sherry

Omygoodness...let me just say first your outdoor table is adorable. But when I saw your love is, it actually brought a tear to my eye.....when I was a kid, every morning my Grandmother would cut out the love is cartoons and put them on the fridge for me to see. I still have them tucked away somewhere. Your glasses are awesome...what a cute collection.

This setting is just too cute Marydon!! I haven't even had time to think of the 4th of July yet let alone decorate for it. I purchased a HUGE flag today though and want to put it on the side of my potting shed. How fun will that be. It is a casket size flag with embroidered stars and was only $15 at the flea down the road! YAY!!!
