Driving down the street in town last year, I happened upon (3) old window frame ‘freebies’ lying along side of the curb. I snatched them up. I had an idea … but that didn’t materialize. So, they sat for months in the garage until one day late in the winter I had a REAL light bulb moment. Now for me to figure out how to implement this, designer/creator I’m not!, sigh.
After a fruitless contact, I was kind of disappointed & down … nearly abandoning the idea. Then I thought of contacting a wonderful woman, Celeste … & within a matter of minutes of my request, she shared (gave) with me probably 15 or 16 wonderful photo/pics in her files to select from. Exactly what I was looking for. I was thrilled ... they are awesome!
My husband took these pictures & overlaid them on the Venetian lace photo I found on the internet … he did an awesome job formatting the pictures you see. Then we had a professional printer print them for us.
Richard, our framer, finished the back of this vignette, I was at a loss as to how to finish off each picture. He suggested adding a gimp trim rather than a mat on the outer side of each window pane. So back to the ‘consulting board’. She thought the trim would work well & upon completion of that step, I added pearl buttons in the corner of each picture.
This is (1) of (2) window frames we have completed. Eventually I’ll show you the other window frame & where we will put them.
I hope you will enjoy these lovelies, as are we.
I love just looking at them ...
Thank you, Mr. Dept911
Thank you, Richard
Thank you, Celeste!
