~ A Mother's Love ~
Mother is on the left, isn't that picture of her with
that huge bow in her hair just adorable. Beneath
all the fluff & lace she was a tom-girl.
Happy Birthday Mother ...

Mother grew into a beautiful young lady,
traveled world wide & throughout the USA
several times. She was very adventuresome.
Mother had a twinkle about her when she spoke
of the fun moments in her life ... like the day she
drove her car up the stairs of the courthouse just
to see if she could do it,
or when she moved outhouses on Halloween.
She paid her parents 25 cents a week room &
board, saved enough money to travel, paid cash
for her car ...
And, then she had (5) children. For these children she alone, worked her fingers to the bone ... cleaning houses, scrubbing floors, sewing, ironing, babysitting, baking pies for others ... anything to hold her family together. (I am the tallest)
Mother was my best friend, I'd do anything for her ... I loved her more than words can express.
She now rests peacefully at the feet of Jesus. I weep for her once more to hug.

ReplyDeleteWhat a very sweet tribute to your mother Marydon. I lost my own Mom when I was in my 20's. I really have missed her. She never knew her grandchildren, which makes me a little sad. But one day we will be reunited in Heaven, as she trusted Jesus as her Savior before she passed away.
