~ Stolling Down An Irsh Road ... St. Paddy's Day CSN GIVEAWAY ~
Dapple Daisy is going to take us for a
stroll through the beautiful country of
Ireland.
We spent 2 weeks there seeing the entire
'GREEN' side. We did take a short jaunt
to the 'orange' side as I just had to go to
the Belleek factory ... be still my heart!
CSN GIVEAWAY ends 3/17
This little stream is in Blackwater on the
corner by G'ma Maggie's birth home
This is my G'ma Maggie's birth home in
Blackwater, County Wexford in the late
1800s before she came to the USA.
I am a dual citizen of both USA &
Ireland. This was available to 2nd
generation lineages up until a couple
years ago ... in honor of the love of my
family I took advantage of carrying this
privilege of Irish citizenship on.
The most lovely drive was through this
area of the countryside where they have
the Stations of the Cross along the
roadway for you to pray ... it was just
awesome.
Haystacks ...
Be gorra! Try & figure out where the
heck you are going was interesting.

ReplyDeleteEngland is as close as I've been to Ireland. I would love to go some day. It is such a beautiful country from what I have seen of pictures. Yours were wonderful. That was very interesting what you told us about the duel citizenship. Thank you for sharing that with us. Happy St Patty's Day!
ReplyDeleteOh, my...how I LOVE this post!!! We had the good fortune to visit Ireland for a few weeks in the 90's and this brought back that happy trip. I, too, have some Irish lineage but we've not been able to pinpoint where the family was from over there. I had hoped to have that info when we went on the trip, but I didn't. I don't know if I'll ever get back there...although it would be nice. Thanks for taking the time to post all these magnificent photos! And Happy St. Patrick's Day to you!
ReplyDeleteYou must have a marvelous time.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the lovely scenery which is very different from our country.

ReplyDeleteOh Sis Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful share this evening. I so enjoyed my trip along with you to Ireland this evening. The countryside is so beautiful. I especially loved seeing G'Ma Maggie's birth home. Is it not quaint? Is it still in the family?
The church stain-glass windows of color are so beautiful. I really enjoyed seeing them. What a peaceful place to sit for awhile. I can only imagine how beautiful the Sunday Masses are there.
I loved seeing the sheep and in the distance seeing the Ocean. How beautiful, the best of both worlds.
Happy St. Patty's Day my precious Irish Sister. I know you will be wearing of the green tomorrow.
Many hugs and SO much love, Your Lil Sis, Sherry
