~ Pink Saturday ~ CSN Giveaway
Happy Dutch Pinks & Irish Greens ~
My paternal heritage is from the land of tulips ... & I share with you the beauty of pinks from Holland. Holland is the most beautiful land ever ... pristine clean, beautiful friendly people. We have been 3 times, it continues to beckon. The history, architecture, beauty will leave one awe struck ...
These tulips & daffodils are resting in a Beleek
vase ...
Grandmother Maggie came directly from Blackwater, Wexford County, Ireland. My Mother went to Ireland in 1939 to visit all our family. Our roots & love of Ireland are very deep & strong.
This vase & cup are part of our precious Belleek that we treasure. Mother gave me the vase.
We enjoyed our lengthy visit to our family home & city ... greens & shamrocks that ones imagination
cannot phathom. Beautiful country, awesome
scenic mountains & shores ...
I send to you wishes for the most beautiful day of your life ... may you be showered with shamrocks, blessings, love & oodles of pinks!! Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Enter our generous CSN giveaway on our previous post only.
(Blogger won't let me post the rest of my share, nor on many of your blogs. Sorry, I am trying ...)

I've simply been so busy doing my exercise program and getting rid of things in this house AND trying to get food storage before prices skyrocket through the roof, sugar. Which is too late because they are ALREADY going through the roof!
ReplyDeleteHope you are well though. I'll try to be better at commenting. Promise.
xoxo,
Connie
Hi Marydon, you have some great genetic make up there girlfriend. While we lived in Germany, we used to drive to Holland often. It only took us 3 1/2 hours and we stayed outside of Amsterdam on a working dairy farm. In the mornings we could go out and work making gouda cheese if we wanted. I loved it and will say the out of all the many places we have been fortunate enough to visit, Holland is and was always my favorite.
ReplyDeleteHappy pink Saturday, Char
I have Dutch heritage also on my dad's side. Love tulips, all colors. I have heard that both Holland and Ireland are both stunningly beautiful, each in its own way. Would love to see pictures of these countries that you have taken on visits. Blessings.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post! I have a cousin and her husband who are missionaries in Holland. I love the photos she shares.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Green Saturday!

I just wanted to drop by and tell you that you and your hubby are still in my thoughts, I know we don't really know each other, but I hear about you from Sherry and from my dear friend Bunny of the Paris House. I actually thought we might be meeting when I see Bunny and Oliver (hopefully in the Spring), but alas, it looks like that won't happen until your dear hubby is up and about again.
ReplyDeleteAfter reading this post, I now understand the connection I feel, it has to be the Irish blood running through my veins from my dear, sweet grandmother.
Blessings to you and your hubby .
Happy PINK Saturday! Well, well, something we have in common! My father's grandmother was Dutch and I have been to Holland but only once. Back in 2001 my hubby was working over there so the girls and I went over for an entire month. I absolutely love the country and would love to go back. We even brought a little puppy home with us, our little Jack Russell! I still have to speak Dutch to her when she is being bad, I have to say "NAY" (NO) to get her to stop! Have a wonderful weekend, Nan

Absolutely beautiful tulips.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Ireland is one of the very few places outside the U.S. I would like to visit - movies and photos I'm sure while show lovely countryside pale in comparison to reality. I LOVE the sweet shamrock tea cup - It is beautiful!! Thanks for visiting and Happy Pink Saturday to you! Dru
ReplyDeleteThank you Marydon for your comments they resonate well with me and inspire me to carry on! Yes, I do get tired of all the fluff especially when it doesn't ever respond to matters of a deeper nature. But I do have those that do in real life and online and am grateful for them! The tulips are so pretty but the teacup and vase are fabulous! They are the stuff that Irish dreams are made of. I love the shape of the vase and for some reason picture fairies around it. LOL! No pun intended, but Lucky you to have an Irish family background! I do hope your husband is continuing to heal and get better. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteRoots are so important to a family, knowing where one came from. Obviously, you treasure your roots, a very good thing.
