Pebbles are created by God to adorn this earth, you can find either beauty or annoyance with each one. They can beautify your gardens vs being a pain in your shoe. They can make old furniture become awesome creations vs injuries when you fall.
Dimes are worth a mere ten cents. They can be made into beautiful jewelry vs being a mere ten cents. They may create lots of pretties vs being a mere ten cents.
If you look beyond the actual pebble, you can see that God had a reason for sharing this precious little pebble with us ... it has been used since the beginning of time for streams to trickle over, create pits for fires, homes & so on. He found a beauty in this pebble that we do not necessarily take the time to envision …
If you look beyond the actual dime, you can see it is sometimes shiny & merely materialistic … it provides us the necessities & luxuries of life, nothing more.
Thought provoking philosophy … (I wrote this, thank you for the compliments)
I was just thinking about you-how weird! I love this post today-it's amazing what God has put here for our use-to see and use-what wonders he gives us!

ReplyDeleteNo truer words Marydon! Thank you for this pebble you left in my path today. I won't be able to see one now, without thinking of your wisdom.
ReplyDeleteI can pick you up a rose if you would like and then mail it to you. Can you send me your address again. My friend's shop is only open 2 days a week and it is in Hailey. I should be going there next week. I hope she has some left. They are $14 and are about the size of your hand.
love to you...
You do give us food for thought. I actually prefer the pebble to the dime. I love to gather stones when we travel and I often look for the beauty within them, just as there is often more than meets the eye in people we meet.
ReplyDeleteHowdy Marydon
ReplyDeleteOh wow ! Praise God I have been having so much trouble trying to see your blog for the past month my computer just locks up when I visit ,not just yours a few others too . I have been thinkingof you with love and praying anyway .Leaving a comment when blogger /goggle lets me.
Please know I think of you often sweetie ! Once again you have written a very beautiful post . Words for us to take to heart as we examine our heart attitudes . You are such a treasure Marydon.
I hope that you are feeling much better .Have a blessed weekend dear lady !
Love and hugs from Texas
Until next time
Happy Trails
When you think of it, the humble dime came from a pebble-like beginning ... the ground. Intriguing!
ReplyDeleteI know it has a money value, but looking at it like that on that lovely earthy surface, it looks a bit like garbage, doesn't it?
ReplyDeletegreat post
Heavenly..and
