There are parents & there are 'special parents'. A lovely lady inspired me to THANK all the wonderful loving women (& men) who are childless whether by choice or because God had a special path for them in life ... BUT ... give selflessly to children who may, or may not, have an empty spot in their little lives. The joy their gentle touch & hug, soft words, flowing love brings to a child, can be life changing.
Children are like rosebuds, they bloom with love & tender care.
God gave special blessings to these precious folks who share their love selflessly leaving memories that these children will carry throughout life.
Thank you & Happy Mother's Day to each of you.

THANK YOU, Mother, for all you so selflessly gave to each of us 5 kids ... you were my friend & I loved you above all else. I miss you terribly still.
Emery (r)~ has given us 2 beautiful children, Ansel & Tatiana, the heart melts of our world. He shares with us a great love & joy in our lives. His accomplishments give us such pride.
Michael ~ look at that smile!
Caroline (Cari) (l) ~ gave us Joshua, our special & loved young man. We are so proud of her accomplishments ... the love we have for her is unending.
Beautiful family pictures Marydon and I know how special your grandchildren are to you also.
ReplyDeleteAs one who does not have children of my own, I especially appreciate your kind words that God had "other" plans for our lives. I have been blessed with nieces/nephews and great nieces to love and many friends who allow me to "mother" their children. A very blessed Mother's Day to you my kind and thoughtful friend.
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed Mother's Day!
Your Mama was so pretty, Marydon, all the way up to the end. And your precious children are just too cute for words! Happy Mom's Day~

Marydon -- Amazing thought to acknowledge the childless woman today. I remember how Mother's Day felt when we were trying -- and struggling -- to conceive.
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures and sentiments.
Happy Mother's Day.
Oh, those kids and grandkids! Don't we love them!!!
ReplyDeleteI also love those women who, whether or not they are parents themselves, love my children and grandkids. Be they teachers, neighbors, friends, whatever. Their love reminds me to love in return the children of others.
Beautiful, MD. Have a wonderful Mother's Day! LOVE the poem you put on my site. SWEET!

What a lovely post, Marydon! Happy Mother's Day to you, as well.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post Marydon. I had an aunt that stepped into my mother's place when she left us suddenly when I was in my early 20's. She became the Grandmother to my children, and has filled my life with love and care. This aunt never had any children, so my children were a delight to her. She will be 95 this year and is in failing health. But we will always be grateful that she was a BIG part of our lives.

Hello Marydon dear,
ReplyDeleteYou are so kind and thank you for visiting my indulgent post! I have no children, but I am a fourth grade teacher and children are truly a blessing. Many need extra care; I often think of the kingdom of God like a garden. Weeds are easy, undesirable and need to be watched and plucked. That which is beautiful needs care and cultivating and even the naughty children are wild rose bushs that grow every day, and need pruning and tutors to help them grow beautifully. There are thorns along the way, but what beautiful blooms as a result of all the care.
Thank you dear lady. Have a wonderful Sunday. Anita
Beautiful tribute Marydon..lovely post.

You are right, there are many very special people that either chose not to or were unable to have children, that have very special places in children's lives. I had a great Aunt and Uncle that were that way.
