Like the gentle falling snow
Things in life come & go
As does the garden
We lovingly sow
Returning each season
To bless us once more
(Written by Marydon Ford)
This lovely piece was my Mother's. I am so glad that I have it, as this Blessings & Wishes is read everyday, as it sits on my desk.
We welcomed another 2" of that gorgeous flaky white from above last night which dressed us with a soft fresh cover. It is awesome.
Have a beautiful day ... mine has lifted with a new day full of love & sunshine!
Love your poem and the framed Blessings! Sweet Marydon, have a blessed day!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the inspiring encouragement this morning, Marydon!
ReplyDeleteAs I shared on my blog, I've fallen into a mood funk recently with the winter weather. You know I normally love winter, but not so much now that we'll be going into March. Instead, I've been feeling very discouraged and in need of some warmth. The way our weather has been these past many years, we've had less and less of a warm season and more of cold than I'm able to adjust to.
Hopefully, spring weather is just around the bend, though our March and April can have really bad winter weather still.
The framed poem that was your mom's, and the poem that you wrote are lovely.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous hyacinths too.
Marydon, I am on that "positive and happy" boat with you, it transforms our lives.

ReplyDeleteMarydon, This reminds me of my Grandma, she had a very similar poem and painting framed in her house, I miss her so much. I love your Spring flowers. We woke up to freshly fallen white snow, such beauty. I really haven't tired of it yet. Spring will be here soon, when it is time, for now I will savor this time snowed in with my family.
ReplyDeleteI wish you a lovely week
xoxo
