I love vintage silhouettes & had 800+ throughout the entire house, at one time ... Recently I cleaned house & kept only my favorite ones that I couldn't bear to part with.
1993 Joshua & Poppy enjoying our snow ... oh, how Joshua loved playing in it.
Joshua was ALL OVER the place ... then we'd come in & make snow ice cream, you know, the WHITE kind!
I am so excited!!!!
As I've been saying the past few days ... the SNOW is here ... 24"+ predicted & they are calling for a full blizzard. I am soooo excited ... I love watching it fall.
We'll be grid locked until after Sunday for sure ......
More predicted for Tuesday & Wednesday.
So soft, clean, crisp & beautiful!
Serenity ...
Beauty ...

Hi Marydon... as you know, I do not like winter, but I must admit, your new~fallen snow looks beautiful! xoxo Julie Marie
ReplyDeleteOh Marydon Sweet Thing...
ReplyDeleteI so love all the beautiful snow. It is truly beautiful, but only if you do not have to get out and work in it. I love the way it tips all the trees and the stringy winter limbs. It must be really bright outside with all the white.
You and Harold stay warm and safe.
I love your silhouette picture. It is so beautiful. Surprisingly somewhere I have a silhouette picture too. It still has the original chain that was on it when it was originally made. I'll have to look for that, so I can share with you.
Have a beautiful day sweetie, and I am still counting days in my head. I will not believe I am actually coming, until that plane takes off and I am in the air.
I love you sweetie. Many hugs and so much love to you. All my love, Sherry/Cherry Jelly
I remember my grandmother's pictures like those. Yes the snow is lovely until you have to go some where.

ReplyDeleteMarydon, your snow pictures are awesome! It looks so quiet and soft... Also, I adore the silouette picture. We always had them in the house when I was growing up with beveled glass. I only have one right now but it was not from home. I have an unpublished book of 10 or 12 silhouette patterns that I created, mostly children--maybe someday-ha! Luvu, Kerrie
ReplyDeleteYou are like a kid in a candy shop. I love it and I'm jealous of your snow. We didn't get any at all and I so love the white stuff, no matter what month it comes down! Enjoy it to the fullest. The photos are lovely. Your silhouette is gorgeous too! Have a wonderful weekend!

PS. I just remember reading that the snow widget has been compromised and may cause havoc on blogs. I removed mine.
Marydon,
ReplyDeleteThese snow pictures are beautiful. We got about 10". I like it, too.
I will check the sites you gave me to see where the bloggy ladies are meeting. Thanks.
Wow so much snow! what lovely photos and a blessed wedding of your fav cousin in September. I was gonna say I think after looking at the snow pics that could not have been from to recent. I cannot find Feb 1 posting. Still searching. This blogspot thing is sometime annoying to me. I really am a HUGE fan of wordpress. But I use this one just because it's quick and easy to me and no fuss. Thanks for enjoying my cabinet. I love it too. It's totally awesome! and those birds are so cute. I didn't know they were so fat after looking online the ones they showed were all skinny. I have fat ones too, perhaps it is to early for babies, but when do they have them in the Spring? they are popular in in the Northern states. From Oregon to Texas. Normally we're nice in the spring we will see what this year brings for spring in CA. It better be nice my birthday is in April around Easter and I love a sunny day for my BD! I'm real spoiled that way. LOL. Hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteThere is a beauty to the snow...
ReplyDeleteAnd children (and the young of heart) will always welcome its presence)...
Loved your vintage art...I have a few loved pieces as well :)
We're getting ready for another snowfall, too. Just when I got to see bare grass after the blizzard we got Christmas Eve. Sigh, oh well, I'm getting used to this now. Enjoy!
