~ Feedsacks Galore ... & Wounded Military~
What a happy dance coup at an auction in VA last weekend.
Feed sacks everywhere ... fell in love with the 25 novelty beauties that we found.
Isn't this a cutie? ... little girls doing the
wash, ironing, etc.
We have over 3,600 of these lovelies, you
can view @ blushingroseboutique.com
They are stacked all over the office ...
in every possible color ...
size ...
& design!
Piled under the desk ...
& the work table is covered!
The most important ones tho, are these. A wonderful lady named Jean makes quilts for wounded military men & women. At the auction this huge tub was filled with what she needs to back each quilt top. I said "... these are for 'our boys & girls' " ... & bought the entire tub (70+) for Jean.
May they comfort & warm every precious man & woman that protects us in our great nation. Thank you Jean, thank you military personnel. God's blessings be showered upon you each.

How very thoughtful and special that the feed sacks are being used for our heroes. Special blessings to you and Jean!! I still have quite alot of feedsacks and enjoy using them in quilts. It's kinda hard to use them though...they are so special. Have a great week my friend.

Hi Sis...
ReplyDeleteWhat beauties you two found this time. I love seeing all the colors and patterns in stacks. How beautiful they are. I can in my mind just hear the thrills and screams you let out, when you found them. So pretty.
One of the things I love most about you and Harold, are your hearts. Your sharing and giving nature, such a beautiful gift. I can just see the wonderful men and women when they recieve the beautiful quilts of love from Jean. I just know she was thrilled with your share.
Hope you are having a wonderful evening sweet Sis. I love you and miss you horribly. All my love, your lil Sis, Sherry

Marydon you are just an angel! Love to you!
ReplyDeleteWe have an American girl married to a New Zealand boy. She is expecting her second baby, and the women in her young women's Bible study group each did a patch, and made her a baby quilt. This is really nice as she has no relatives here.
