The little BLUE domino (the only thing allowed that isn't pink or white) is the necklace that wonderful sweet friend Cherry Jelly/Sherry (Country Wings in Phoenix) made for me.
Love it!
The darling little cupcake ornaments were created by our precious friend Gail (Shabby Cottage Shoppe). You are so sweet. TY

This is my Belleek nativity, very precious to me.
I love my Irish heritage. This is out all year round.
The little lady on the mantle r. is a Lladro that was signed by Madam when I met her. She remains throughout the year.
This is our front room mantle, the tree is to the left.
Isn't it delicate & wonderful
This frame was in an old bank in Chehalis, WA, & when the bank closed Mother received this frame. She kept all 5 of we kids graduation pictures in it. When she joined Jesus, I created her life within, returning the kids pics.
This mantle is in our TV room/office.
Here she is unlit ... in all her splendor!
.. and how she shines in preparation for His celebration.

WHO STARTED CHRISTMAS?
A woman was Christmas shopping with her two children. After
Many hours of looking at row after row of toys and everything
else imaginable, and after hours of hearing the children ask for
everything they saw on those many shelves, she finally made it
to the elevator with the two children and her many purchases.
She was feeling what so many of us feel during this time of the
year: overwhelming pressure to go to parties and housewarming,
taste all the holiday food and treats, get that "perfect gift" for
every single person on our shopping list, make sure we don't
forget anyone on our card list, and make sure we respond to
everyone who sent us a card.
The elevator doors opened -- there was already a crowd in the
car. She pushed her way into the car, dragging her two children
and all the bags of stuff in with her. When the doors closed she
couldn't take it anymore and loudly murmured, "Whoever started
this whole Christmas thing should be found, strung up, and shot."
From the back of the elevator car, everyone heard a quiet, calm
Voice say, "Don't worry. We already crucified Him." For the rest
of the trip down, the elevator was so quiet you could have heard
a pin drop.
Don't forget this year to keep the One who started this whole
Christmas thing in your every thought, deed, purchase, and word.
oh your house looks so pretty! And I loved the story about the elevator!

Hello Sweet PB/Marydon...
ReplyDeleteOh sweetie I so love your little domino on your tree. She stands out just like the peanut butter would on a cherry jelly sandwich. I so love it. Thank you. Thank you for loving me.
I love your home. It is so beautiful. The mantel is so gorgeous, and I so love the Lladro. She is beautiful and then it is signed which makes her even more special. I so love it.
I also love your feather tree. I have wanted a feather tree in green, but so far no luck. Nobody even seems to know what I am talking about.
Oh I so love you sweetie. Thanks for sharing today. I so love it when you do. Country hugs and so much love...Sherry

ReplyDeleteWell said sweet lady for you and I both know Christ is Christmas. I often ask myself if He would be pleased with the way we celebrate it.
ReplyDeleteYou have yourself one terrifically blessed day!
Marydon, everything looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteTwo of my favorite things are Lladro and Beleek. I have always had a passion for shiny porcelain and ceramic.

Hi Marydon, you have been sick and I have been working my little fingers off making all my Christmas gifts. Thanks for your nice comments. Your home looks good too. I have not done a tree yet. My kitchen is so messed up from cutting and sewing and gluing and painting. We are eating in the dining room so I don't have to move everything each night. I hope you feel better soon. I love your Lladro. I am going to post all my projects on mmm's Tea and Toast next Tuesday. Sherry has stopped visiting me. I couldn't get into her comments the day I tried.

You are so sweet to want to help me. It really touch my heart. I too wish you were closer, I am sure we would have great fun together. Please pray for me I have not been well. I look all your sweet things. I did not know Belleek made nativity sets. Blessings to you. Martha
ReplyDeleteMarydon, your Christmas tree and all that I can see of your home is beautiful...the mantle is decorated beautifully as well. And I love the collage of photos from long ago...that really touches me. I have a box full that need to be framed and hung.
ReplyDeleteThe story of the women in the elevator is very good...sometimes we do get overwhelmed with the "worldly" "holiday" environment, and forget about the joy that Christmas was intended to bring to our hearts each year. Beautiful reminder.
God bless,
Mary
Your blog, your home...and YOU. So lovely! You are a testimony to Gods love for sure! Have a wonderful holiday season.
ReplyDeletePat

Hello Marydon, I love you Christmas decorations and especially your wonderful Belleek nativity figures. I love Belleek also and love parian porcelain. I have some of the beautiful baskets in my collection. My husband bought them for me when we lived in Ireland. Have a wonderful Christmas, Maureen....
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by so I could find you!! LOVE your beautiful decorations, they are all just gorgeous! Have a wonderful weekend.♥
ReplyDeleteHow beautifully you have decorated your home for Christmas. You are very talented.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous tree and Christmas decor! It will soon be here and you are well prepared for the wonderful event. I have not put anything out yet but hope to this weekend. It looks like Christmas outside now with the pretty snow! And I do have a wreath on my house. The older you get, the faster time flies and gets away from you!! But it is still a beautiful time no matter how you are decorated! Merry, Merry Christmas to you and yours!! Carol
ReplyDeleteMarydon, your home is beautiful, I love the pink!!!
ReplyDeleteI should have made a pink Santa for the draw!
I love your story about the women in the elevator, Amen!

ReplyDeleteThe elevator story carries a very worthwhile message.
Marydon, I love all of the pink and the white that you have used in your holiday decorating. It is so serene and lovely. The Lladro and the Belleek are beautiful. I am sending the little story off in some e-mails- it is a doozie.
