(So reminds me of when Miss Pearl was born in our garden
this past summer ... my SIL sent this moose story to us.)
Now that is just a fun thing to see but scary to be in your front door.
ReplyDeletewe have a young moose (yearling?) on our property. We see him almost every day. thankfully- no mama in sight!
ReplyDeleteUnbeliveable, never heard of a wild animal so close to a human house. It is so beautiful to see mother moose caring for her baby.
ReplyDeleteJanice
How precious to see this baby moose and mom.
ReplyDeleteAmazing photos!! I have never actually seen a moose in real life. There aren't any here on the island but how beautiful to be able to experience that :) Not so fun when you can't use your door though *grin*. We had a bear that slept right outside our bedroom windows a couple of years ago and loved to put his paws on our front window. Very scary but a great learning experience for the kids :) Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. I hope the wind has subsided for you now and have a wonderful thanksgiving holiday to :)
ReplyDeleteHugs :)
I'm so surprised the moose would come so close to homes. Like everyone said-lovely but troublesome.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing story. That is hard to believe the moose would even stay around that long.
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat story and the pics are amazing!
ReplyDeleteMicki
How cute is that baby moose? We don't have moose here is Australia. It must have been a sight to see.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun story to go along with these great pictures! They don't seem the least bit shy, so guess this is the right maternity ward!
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet! We do not have moose around here, but we do have deer. How awesome is that though that she didn't have him in the woods or even the back yard for a little more privacy!
ReplyDeleteHugs- Tete
Now that's an excuse I don't think I'd get away with in Philly! How amazing:@)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful gift from Mother Nature. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHow very wonderful! A new living creature in our world. You are so lucky to have the honor!!
ReplyDeleteHey Marydon!
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine having a moose have a baby in our yard! I would be afraid to go out in my yard if there were any around here! We do have deer and they can be scary at times with the way they snort at you.
Have a Great Day!
Angela

Marydon:
ReplyDeleteThe baby moose sure is cute. I've never seen one. I can imagine what a shock to find it outside your front door. Wow! They sure are cute animals, but I can imagine they could be aggresive. I hope you can find a way to get outside with it in your lawn.
That is absolutely amazing!
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine looking outside and seeing such a sight. God is good.
hugs,
Barb
Oh how sweet that is. I'm sure mama is keeping a close eye on that baby! I had an unusual visitor this fall, a black bear. Guess we have to be really careful when we exit out the door. Never know what we might meet up with!
ReplyDeleteWhat a heartwarming story. But I would not ask momma moose to move it along! Hee Hee Anne
ReplyDeleteYes, I imagine Mama Moose would be rather protective of her precious baby. And rightly so. What a holy priviledge to see wonderful wildlife so close. God bless Mother and Baby.
ReplyDeleteHi, I popped in from the Give Thanks party at Vintage Nest. Oh my gracious - how COOL! My grandkids would certainly LOVE it if one of the deer roaming our area would have a baby in our front yard. They'd be hollering - Grandma, grandma, grab your camera and take this picture. And I'd be cowering in the bathroom :) I'm most impressed you DIDN'T cower and got these sweet shots!!! Happy Thanksgiving.
