We were met at the pearly pink gates of this exquisite pink palace by Maggie (aka Miss Pearl), both are gracious hostesses with the mostest ... now I must say I had so looked forward to meeting Miss Pearl, but she decided to rest while Maggie graciously invited us for a day that melted our hearts into a forever sisterhood ...
Drop by & visit with this precious lady ~
The GIVEAWAY winner of our mystery person Maggie/Miss Pearl is Lynn @ http://lynnslovelies.blogspot.com/.
~ Thank you Miss Beverly, our PINK SATURDAY hostess http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/ ... visit all the lovely ladies that participate. ~
This is Maggie's precious HUGE pink cottage ...
the picket fence so invites you to enter into the
pretty pink porch decor ...
& it is the most adorably decorated mansion
inside ...
Maggie has painted her home in the most luscious colors that capture your eye from the road ... soft
sweet yellow, pink & greens, a bistro table for
morning tea ... a gorgeous porch swing for the hot
summery eves to wile away in the gentle breeze
the warmth of the colors make you feel at home
immediately, they are so inviting ...
and THEN you walk thru the door & it is a WHOA!!! moment
of AWE ... you stand gasping in the beauty that now is
surrounding you ... barely able to take it all in ...
in the dining room we were greeted with an elegant luncheon table setting ... the china was
graced by sparkling silver & crystal ... the soft pastel pink roses picked just for lil 'ol me, how sweet to melt my heart ...
all so beautifully presented on the most divine pink china EVER!! ... now how can I fit all this china in my purse, NOT!, chuckle ... but I will get the pattern for sure ... Maggie's presentation was so inviting & colorful ... you must ask her for her
deelish chicken salad recipe, yummy!, & the
pink depression glass a lovely accent ...
and more yummies ... now where did I put that snack bag ... chuckle!
You must enlarge each picture so see all the fabulous details in her decor ...
all I could do was say a ba-zillion times, 'Oh, Maggie this is AWESOME, GORGEOUS, ELEGANT!'
Her walls are the most luscious pistachio green & strawberry pink paint on all that wainscoting ...
and this majestic piece is so powerful you just want to keep touching its splendid wood ...
on her bed tray server is the teacup I sent her when she had her bad fall ...
her bathroom is just the prettiest, this Art Deco dresser is so perfect in here ...
and these luscious pink & green walls, the breathtaking beds ...
look at the carving on the beds ... over the moon gorgeous ...
her kitchen will just BLOW YOU AWAY with the red walls, cherry wallpaper shelving going up that staircase & all her little vintage treasures displayed so beautifully ...
it is warm, you just want to have a seat & say
I'll take that cup o'tea & sit a spell ... &
her collection of lady head vases blew me away ...
and her fabulous collection of Jadeite, oh, my ... envy here, Irish style ...
Maggie made us the most yummy candy I've eaten outside of See's chocolates in many a moon ... I gave Maggie a pink teacup ornament for her tree ...
We THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for one of the most memorable & treasured moments in our lives. You have two people that fell in love with you, my precious Maggie ... forever!
*** Note blogger is giving us fits in posting this, so what you see is however it comes out, we are not able to control the presentation.

ReplyDeleteJust noticed the redhead on your header. I'm partial b/c I have a red head. Love her little shiny copper penny head!
Thanks for your sweet notes. Have a wonderful week!
I thought you were a red head. No wonder you have such a sunny personality! Redheads are special. We are living in Southwest GA at the moment but it's temporary. My hubby is doing medical rotations throughout the area. I'm a TX native but have lived in GA the past 10 years. Savannah, the longest, which is my favorite city. More recently, Augusta. Not sure where we'll end up but hoping to either stay in GA or return closer to family in TX.
